The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, CP Waheed Ayilara, has decorated Senior Officers of the Command who were recently promoted to the next rank of Chief Superintendents of Police, CSP.
One of those decorated was the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Odiko Macdon. He was decorated alongside CSP Ahmadu Bello, who is the Officer in-charge of Conflict Resolution Unit, Sagir Mani of the Quick Intervention Squad, Sampson Atosokwa of Eket Area Command and Mark Mbah of the anti Narcotics Squad.
The CP, while congratulating the newly promoted Officers noted that promotion comes with greater responsibilities. He urged the Officers to increase their productivity in police service delivery and always be professional while dealing with members of the public.
The newly decorated Officers thanked the IGP, the Police Service Commission and the Commissioner of Police for finding them worthy to be elevated and decorated. They assured the CP of redoubling their efforts in making Akwa Ibom State more peaceful.
