The Kogi State Governor, Yayaha Bello, on Wednesday, approved 100 per cent hazard allowance for medical doctors and other health workers in the state, effective immediately.
The governor announced the decision during courtesy visit of the pioneer medical students of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba and the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association, Kogi State to the Government House.
The students expressed their gratitude at the Government House in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Marietu Tenuche, expressed gratitude to Bello for the gesture.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Kogi State Chapter, Dr Olusola Baoku, commended Bello for his strides in the state’s health sector.
