VP, Speaker, Kwankwaso Join Sympathisers As Na’abba Is Buried In Kano

Vice President, Kashim Shettima; Speaker of House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, on Wednesday evening joined hundreds of sympathisers as former Speaker, House of Representatives, Ghali Na’abba, was laid to rest in Kano State.

Other personalities that joined the Islamic funeral prayers include former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau; and Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Kawu Sumaila.

Leading the prayers in accordance with Islamic tenet at the palace of Emir of Kano, the Chief Imam of Kano State, Prof. Sani Zaharaddeen, prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased while seeking for his soul to be admitted in paradise.

Shortly after leading the congregation prayers, the body of the deceased was laid to rest at the Dandolo cemetery in Gwale Local Government area of the state.

Earlier, Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, alongside the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin received the body at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA.
The former Speaker, 8th National Assembly, late Na’abba died on Wednesday at the age of 65 after a protracted illness at the National Hospital, Abuja.
