“Accomplish but do not boast, accomplish without show, accomplish without arrogance, accomplish without grabbing”. –Anonymous

The heralding of the golden era in Akwa Ibom State, speaks volume to what is being witnessed today in the state, through the leadership capacity of Governor Umo Eno, in all spheres of our dear state.

An unwavering commitment to get the job done, from the outset, has been a driving force for the Governor, and as people sometimes wonder where the Governor draws strength in traversing the length and breadth of the state to inspect projects and see to its timely completion, the Governor will usually tell you that is the job Akwa Ibom people employed him to do.

Despite being an accomplished businessman, the Governor has remained humble with a humane disposition towards the people, and what stands him out, is his stickler for excellence and dedication to duties.

His Excellency has often rang the bell to political appointees, that his administration is not an all comers affair, and that all hands must be on deck, to produce results.” If you are not ready to work, we will be glad to receive your resignation letter,” the Governor once said.

I recollect the many times we sang the Umo Eno’s song, even in strange lands, not everyone had accepted our songs, not everyone had accepted our messages, but in whatever you do in life, stay true to your convictions.

Today, as we journey through the state, I hear people confess their love for the Governor, I hear the hitherto unbelievers say, indeed, this is the kind of Governor we needed. I hear them echo songs and showers of praises on Governor Umo Eno.

But I pause to wonder, if in seven months of Governor Umo Eno’s administration, the Governor has garnered this level of support from the people, and won the hearts of those who never accepted him, how will the coming years of the administration be? Will the Governor have enough vault to accommodate the encomiums Akwa Ibom people will pour on him in the coming years?

In so far as the Governor is committed to delivering the deliverables to Akwa Ibom people, the golden era encompasses the Governor’s ARISE AGENDA, and Pastor Umo Eno has a task to deliver on his avowed promises to the people of the state, which he is gradually achieving.

We must rise to support him, because when the Governor succeeds, Akwa Ibom has succeeded.

A REPUTATION FOUNDED ON INTEGRITY, MUST BE NURTURED BY TRUTH.
