Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information has celebrated the state Comptroller of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Francisca Dakat, for her promotion and her birthday.

The two-fold event was held at the Flag House residence of the Comptroller, along Ben Udo Street in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo.

At the occasion, the Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, extolled the sterling qualities of Dakat, whom he described as humane and friendly, making it possible for the ministry and the state government to cultivate mutually beneficial working relationship with the state Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

The commissioner noted that the hard work and dedication of the comptroller was evidenced in her promotion and subsequent posting to a higher responsibility and therefore on behalf of the Ministry and the government of Akwa Ibom State wished her the best n her new rank and office.

He implored her to remain a good ambassador of Akwa Ibom State, especially having been adopted as a daughter of the soil and given the name “Uduakabasi”.

Ememobong congratulated Dakat on her birthday and the meritorious promotion to the position of Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service and prayed that she would grow to reach the pinnacle of her career.

In her response, Dakat expressed gratitude to God on her birthday and promotion to a higher level in NIS, and appreciated the commissioner and his ministry for sharing in her double barrel celebration.

Highpoint of the event, which featured goodwill messages by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information, Akparawa James Edet, service chiefs and Heads of Departments of the State Command of NIS was the presentation of birthday card and gift by Ememobong.
