Rivers State Commissioner Of Special Projects, Emeka Woke Resigns

The Rivers State Commissioner for Special Projects, Chief Emeka Woke, has reportedly tendered his resignation from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet, following the recent departure of Attorney General Zachaus Adango.

While Adango cited personal reasons for his exit, Woke’s resignation letter remains confidential and hasn’t been publicly released, per Nigerian Tribune.

This development comes amidst a bitter political rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The rift has already led to the defection of 27 lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

There are suggestions that Woke’s resignation could be a gesture of loyalty to Wike, whom he previously served.
