The Akwa Ibom State Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Commission, EARCOM, have sent warm greetings to the Senate President, His Excellency, Chief Dr Godswill Akpabio on his birthday, congratulating him for a life of courage, dedication and service to Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and humanity in general.
A statement issued on behalf of the Governing Board, Management and Staff of EARCOM, endorsed by the Chairman of Commission, Dr Dorothy Thompson, states that, EARCOM joins family members, friends and associates of the Senate President in celebrating the milestone of clocking 61, adding that Chief Akpabio’s patriotism and dedication to Nigerian project is commendable.
The statement read that, Senator Akpabio’s
commitment to the unity, good governance and stability of Nigeria is consistent with his uncommon legacies and is a virtue deeply appreciated by all men of goodwill, even as they prayed God Almighty to grant him many more years of service to humanity.
Senator Akpabio, an erstwhile Commissioner, former Akwa Ibom State Governor, served as Minority Leader in the 9th Senate and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, before his reelection to the Senate where he emerged the President of the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
