Club Africain of Tunisia have arrived in Uyo for their third group match against Rivers United, TheNewsDesk reports.

The Tunisian giants are topping Group C after recording two wins from two matches against Dream FC of Ghana and APC Lobito of Angola.


The team departed the shore of Tunisia late on Thursday after a brief press conference, where the team coach exhumed confidence about winning the former Nigeria champions in Sunday’s match.

They landed in Uyo on Friday evening and moved straight to their hotels.

They will train at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday evening before the game on Sunday.

The match is a must win for the only surviving Nigeria representative at the continent and if they must qualify for the quarter-final of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup,

The 2021/22 NPFL champions are third on the log with points from two games. Having defeated APC Lobito FC of Angola (3-0), the Pride of Rivers lost 0-2 to Ghana Dream FC in their second match.
